Our KL Branch Partner, Ms. Choo, together with our Pupils in Chambers graduated from University of Malaya, Mr. Falah and Mr. Izzuddin, were invited to attend the annual Lex Gala 2025/2026 which was organised by the Law Faculty of Universiti Malaya, on 23.05.2026 at Wyndham Grand Bangsar Kuala Lumpur.

This event was officiated by YBHG. Tan Sri Dato' Rohana Yusuf, the former president of the Court of Appeal of Malaysia.

Our firm was honoured to have sponsored and contributed towards the success of this meaningful event and engaged to the final year students from this reputable law school in Malaysia.

Our partners Mr Ng Kian Nam and Mindy Choo are also the graduates from this law school. And over the years we have recruited many good talents from this law school to our respective branches.

Yesterday our Managing Partner, Mr. Ng Kian Nam, was honoured to be invited by Advanced Tertiary College (ATC) Penang to deliver a talk entitled "Juvenile Offences: Rehabilitation or Punishment". A topic that is both timely and deeply important for today's young adults.

With approximately 70 foundation year lawstudents in attendance, Mr. Ng walked the audience through key legislation shaping youth justice in Malaysia, including the Child Act 2001, the newly enacted Anti-Bullying Act 2026, and The Malaysian Penal Code.

The session also sparked meaningful dialogue on real-world offences that are increasingly prevalent among young Malaysians, from drug-related matters and dangerous driving to bank account fraud.

At NKNP, we believe that legal awareness is one of the most powerful tools we can place in the hands of the next generation. Knowledge of the law is not just for lawyers it belongs to everyone.

Thank you to Madam Linda, the CEO of the College for her warm invitation, and to all their "future lawyers" who actively showed up, asked questions, and engaged with high curiosity and enthusiasm.

This is our first talk under the Juvenile Offences Awareness Campaign organised by our NKNP Penang branch in collaboration with few educational institutions in Penang.
