Charles Heung Establishes Family Fund - Gives Guo Bi Ting Control of Estate, Sons Only Get Living Allowance
After Taiwanese actress Guo Bi Ting married Charles Heung’s son Jacky Heung (Xiang Zu), their wealthy marriage has been widely watched. Recently, Charles Heung (Xiang Huaqiang) publicly revealed how he plans to distribute his inheritance.
He says that he and his wife have agreed to set up a family trust fund and have appointed their elder daughter-in-law Guo Bi Ting to manage it entirely, bluntly stating that his sons will not inherit any money directly.
In a video he posted on social media, Charles said that both of his sons - Jacky Heung and his younger son, Xiang You will not directly inherit the family wealth. Instead, they will only receive a monthly living allowance. He explained that this is to prevent them from wasting money or being deceived by others, and said that Guo Bi Ting is trustworthy with money.
There is an additional clause in the inheritance plan: the family’s jewelry will go directly to his granddaughter. Also, because Xiang You experienced discrimination in the U.S. when he was young, the family has reportedly set a rule that grandchildren are not allowed to immigrate to the U.S. or study there.
Charles also warned that if his sons become complacent and “take advantage” of the financial security, their allowance could be stopped at any time.
After the news came out, Xiang You reportedly felt his parents were favouring his older brother’s family. Charles said that his wife has blocked Xiang You on WeChat, he has refused to meet with him, and only communicates through his secretary - he doesn’t even have his younger son’s contact details.
