On the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day (26 April 2026), ICAR–Indian Institute of Maize Research (ICAR-IIMR), Ludhiana organized a series of expert lectures on IP Rights on 30 April 2026, with participation from over 50 scientific professionals across IIMR and AICRP (Maize) centres.

As part of this initiative, our CEO, Dr. Shweta Sen Thalwal, delivered a session on “Intellectual Property Rights in Agriculture: Protecting Innovations in Research and Development.”

The session highlighted an important insight; while methods of agriculture may not be patentable, the sector still holds significant protectable value through other forms of IP.

The program also included a session on biosafety in modern crop research by Dr. Krishan Kumar, enriching the overall dialogue on responsible innovation. The event was coordinated by Dr. Bhupender Kumar, In-charge (ITMU), under the chairmanship of the Director, Incharge, ICAR–IIMR, Ludhiana.

We appreciate the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful exchange connecting science with intellectual property.

Taking IPR awareness to the grassroots of innovation.

Integrum IP had the opportunity to sensitise MSMEs in across district Solan, Mandi, and Sirmaur in Himachal Pradesh through a series of engaging sessions. The programme brought together budding entrepreneurs and innovators, creating a space for meaningful discussions around Intellectual Property Rights and its practical relevance in business growth.

The sessions were highly interactive, with participants actively sharing their ideas, challenges, and perspectives making it a truly enriching exchange of knowledge.

Encouraging to see such strong entrepreneurial spirit and a growing awareness of the importance of protecting innovation.
