🇺🇸 *Waiting too long for a U.S. visa appointment in Canada? A new paid option is now available.*
The U.S. Department of State has launched a *Paid Expedite pilot* for eligible B-category visitor/business visa applicants in Canada.
Eligible applicants may pay an additional *US$750 per person* to access an interview appointment within the *next 10 business days*, subject to appointment availability.
The US$750 expedited fee is *in addition to the regular US$185 visa application fee*.
⚠️ *Important:* Paying for an expedited appointment does *NOT* improve your chances of visa approval. It only provides access to an earlier interview date. The expedited fee is also non-refundable, including if the visa is refused, and strict cancellation/no-show rules apply.
This could be an important option for Canadian permanent residents, international students, workers, and other residents of Canada who require a U.S. visa and have time-sensitive travel plans.
The pilot is currently scheduled to run until *December 31, 2026*.
