This storyline is gripping, no doubt about it.

Anyone seen ITV's Emmerdale recently? Joe Tate wants his newborn son adopted “off the books”, but in real life, his plan would be a criminal offence.

Our family team looks at who gets a say, why a mother’s consent can’t count until her baby is six weeks old and where the law leaves someone like Graham, who walks out with a child that isn’t his.

Some of the safest options for a struggling parent don’t involve adoption at all.

This marks 100 years since adoption became a formal legal process in England and Wales.

This Friday members of our personal and serious injury team will join the Child Brain Injury Trust at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre for Glow Out Loud ✨, the charity's new fundraising lunch shining a light on .

We can't wait to join the fun while raising vital funds for children, young people and families affected by childhood-acquired brain injury.

The cause is close to our hearts and we're proud to be the charity's Legal Support Service Partner for the East Midlands, helping the charity give families independent legal advice when they need it most.

When a child acquires a brain injury, the effects can change a family's life overnight. Parents face difficult decisions about education, care, medical treatment and financial security, often with little guidance. The Child Brain Injury Trust offers practical and emotional support, and with access to legal advice alongside it, no family has to face those challenges alone. 💜

Our team specialises in serious injury cases and sees first-hand how much that support matters. Supporting the charity's work is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
