We're pleased to announce two senior promotions at Hegarty! 🎉

Cara Watson has been promoted to Partner, recognising her extensive experience in Wills, Trusts and Probate, including estate and succession planning for individuals, families and farming businesses.

Emma McGrath, an existing Partner, has been appointed Head of Family. In this role, she will continue to support clients through divorce, financial matters and arrangements for children, while leading our Family Law team.

Inspiring the next generation of legal professionals 🎓

We were pleased to attend Oakham School’s annual Careers Fair, where we had the opportunity to speak with students about careers in law and the different pathways into the legal profession.

It was a great chance to share insights into working at a law firm, answer questions and help students explore the opportunities available to them as they consider their future careers.

We’re always pleased to support young people as they consider their next steps.

Next Wednesday, we’re looking forward to joining point recruitment for a fully booked Employment Law Seminar at the Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon.

Our Employment Law solicitor, David Brown, will be providing a practical update on the Employment Rights Act 2025, including upcoming changes to the harassment duty and unfair dismissal and what employers need to be thinking about now.

David will be joined by Tim Davies, CEO of Nousica, who will explore AI and people decisions, including where AI can add value, where caution is needed and the importance of human judgement.
