🌟 Meet Lauren, our new Office Manager!

We’re delighted to introduce Lauren Windmill, who has joined Kee Mediation as our Office Manager.

As your first point of contact, Lauren plays a key role in making your experience with Kee Mediation as smooth and seamless as possible. From coordinating appointments and managing documentation to supporting clients throughout the mediation process, she works closely with our mediators and dedicated administration team to ensure everything runs efficiently from start to finish.

With more than 10 years’ experience in administration and customer service, Lauren brings a wealth of experience, organisation and a genuine passion for providing exceptional client care.

Outside of work, Lauren loves getting creative as a performer and enjoys spending time on stage. She’s also a keen yoga enthusiast, which helps her stay balanced, focused and energised, qualities she brings to her role every day. 🧘‍♀️

🌟 A milestone for Kee Mediation – and another step towards putting children at the heart of family mediation.

We’re delighted to share that Mia Kee, founder of Kee Mediation, is now accredited as a Child Inclusive Mediation (CIM) mediator. 💛

Child Inclusive Mediation gives children and young people an opportunity to have their voices heard during a time of significant change in their family life.

It isn’t about asking children to make decisions or choose between parents. Instead, a specially trained mediator provides a safe, neutral and supportive space where children can share their feelings, experiences and wishes – where they want to – and helps parents understand what life looks and feels like from their child’s perspective.

At Kee Mediation, we believe that children should be at the centre of decisions that affect them, without being put in the middle of parental conflict.

We’re particularly proud that this expertise sits within a wider team committed to developing best practice in child-inclusive work. Cheryl Edwards is one of our leading Child Inclusive Mediation practitioners, as well as training mediators across the country.

Cheryl has also developed her CIM practice using the Lundy Model of children’s participation, helping to ensure that children’s voices are not simply heard, but genuinely considered and responded to.

One particularly lovely part of this approach is the opportunity for parents to work together on supportive feedback, including thank-you messages to their children – helping children understand that both parents have heard them and value their contribution.

Mia’s CIM accreditation strengthens our ability to offer families this specialist, child-focused approach, alongside the experience and expertise already within our team.

Because sometimes the most important voice in a family dispute is the one that needs the safest space to be heard. 💛

✨ Meet the Team: Welcome Cheryl! ✨

We are delighted to welcome Cheryl to the Kee Mediation team.

Cheryl has been a registered Family Mediator with the Family Mediation Council since 2018 and is also a Child Inclusive Mediator. Alongside her work with Kee Mediation, she runs her own business, Connect Resolve, supporting children and parents to strengthen relationships and find positive ways forward.

With more than 20 years of experience working with teenagers and parents to prevent homelessness caused by relationship breakdown, Cheryl brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion and practical experience to every family she supports.

Her passion for ensuring children’s voices are heard led to her having an article published in the College of Mediators Journal in 2026, where she explored adapting Child Inclusive Mediation to align with the Lundy Model of children’s participation. Cheryl now shares these valuable insights by training other mediators, helping to improve practice across the profession.

When she is not working, you’ll often find Cheryl playing netball in a social league, enjoying coastal walks, spending time with her two daughters, or keeping up with her very naughty Beagle!

We are so pleased to have Cheryl as part of the Kee Mediation team and know she will make a real difference to the families we support.

The Ministry of Justice has announced an extension to the Family Mediation Voucher Scheme, making it easier for families to access support when they need it most.

The scheme provides a financial contribution towards mediation costs, helping separating couples resolve disputes without the stress, delay and expense of going to court. It is a practical step that encourages constructive conversations and puts the needs of children at the centre.

Mediation is a highly effective tool in family law. It offers a confidential, flexible and less adversarial way to reach agreements on issues such as child arrangements, finances and communication. By focusing on collaboration rather than conflict, mediation can lead to more sustainable outcomes and better long term relationships.
