📌 Case Success: Discretion Granted
We secured a positive outcome in a complex case where our client exceeded the 548-day absence limit by 44 days.
We successfully argued that the excess should be considered within the COVID-19 period, as the client was unable to return to the UK due to circumstances beyond her control, including online university teaching, flight cancellations, and lockdowns in China.
Evidence also showed she made every effort to return as early as possible and maintained strong ties to the UK.
The Home Office accepted discretion, recognising the exceptional circumstances.
