Bars Across attended India and the UK โ Courts, Commerce and Culture at Guildhall, London, during London International Disputes Week 2026.
Jointly hosted by The Bar Council of England and Wales and The Arbitration Bar of India, the evening brought together members of the Indian and UK legal communities for conversations on arbitration, cross-border commerce, legal collaboration and the enduring relationship between the two jurisdictions.
With opening remarks from Kirsty Brimelow KC, Chair of the England and Wales, and Gourab Banerji, Senior Advocate, President of the Arbitration Bar of India, followed by a fireside conversation with author and historian William Dalrymple, the event connected history, culture, commerce and contemporary dispute resolution.
A meaningful evening of dialogue and professional exchange, reflecting the importance of stronger IndiaโUK engagement in international arbitration and cross-border legal practice.
