BREAKING: The CMA has launched an investigation into Trainline, Virgin Atlantic and RED driving school for drip pricing such as 'booking fees', amid concerns that consumers were not aware until they came to pay as a final price.

The price you see at the start should be the price you pay. Mandatory 'booking fees' shouldn’t appear at the end when you come to pay.

The companies are being investigated, so no findings have yet been made, but the CMA says consumers could receive compensation if they find these firms have broken the law.

Ringo app 'convenience fees' should be banned as well - another income stream that's split with local authorities.

I say week in week out that we're taken for a bunch of mugs in this country. It's getting worse as well. Firms are increasingly relying on what's known as the 3 Ds: Delay, Deny, Defend - to create as much friction as possible to deny you a remedy you are entitled to.

Knowing your consumer rights can save you a lot of time, money & stress. Knowledge is power & my knowledge isn't common knowledge!

Before you take out an insurance policy, make sure you read & check the T & Cs properly, policy wording & exclusions. Key Terms need to be bold, prominent & clear in-line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
