Looking after your personal health is very important because when you are injured, your body needs to be strong to recover.

The difference between a 41 year old, obese, binge drinking, smoker trying to recover from a broken leg and a 41 year old fit, healthy, active person is night and day 🌚🌞

I've just pushed myself into the 7min mile zone.

Keeping myself fit and active for if life throws an accident my way.

Independent solicitors don't have to work in isolation.

One of the things I've come to appreciate about running an independent law firm is the importance of having a good professional network around you.

I specialise in personal injury and clinical negligence. I don't pretend to be an expert in every area of law.

I do, however, regularly receive enquiries about employment law — unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, settlement agreements and other workplace disputes.

Rather than simply saying "that's not something I deal with", I'm pleased to be able to point people towards a solicitor I've known for over 15 years, who specialises in employment law and whom I'm comfortable recommending.

There are no referral fees, commissions or financial incentives involved. It's simply about knowing good people who specialise in areas that I don't — and making sure an enquiry reaches the right solicitor.

I think there's a lot to be said for independent solicitors building trusted networks like this.

So I'm opening mine up a little more.

A heartbreaking reminder of just how dangerous farming can be.

Accidents at work can happen in all sorts of jobs, sometimes in circumstances you and me could never have anticipated.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have men and women farmers working endless hours, often in dangerous conditions, to produce the food we all rely on.

Life really can change in an instant. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

My deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the two men who lost their lives. ❤️

If GMP have already decided and announced the injuries are not life changing that's a disgrace!

Injuries will not yet be fully known and psychological injuries not yet even diagnosable.

Accidents like this can haunt you for the rest of your life psychologically if not physically.

The victims should get all the private treatment available to help with their recovery 😞

Nothing infuriates me more than people like this, driving with complete disregard for their passengers, other road users, pedestrians, witnesses, emergency services.....I could go on!

Hopefully he feels the full force of the law, both civil and criminal 💥

Accidents like that do not happen without excessive speed or reckless driving.

If both cars were travelling at 30mph and collided head on, you'd expect that sort of damage.

Head on collisions shouldn't be possible there so one driver (or both) has made a serious error of judgement.

Hopefully all make a full recovery and the at fault driver(s) become better drivers for it.
