What is civil denaturalization?
It is a lawsuit brought by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in Federal District Court and:

No Statute of Limitations: The government can file a civil denaturalization case at any point in a person's life; there is no expiration date.
High Burden of Proof: The government must present clear, convincing, and unequivocal evidencethat leaves no room for doubt that the citizenship was obtained unlawfully.
Reversion of Status: If a federal judge orders denaturalization, the individual's status generally reverts to what it was prior to naturalization (usually Lawful Permanent Resident), which frequently makes them vulnerable to subsequent deportation proceedings.

📌 You may need to submit that receipt to the BIA as proof that you paid.

When payment is required, keep your receipt and proof of payment and follow the proper instructions for submitting it to the immigration court. A receipt can be especially important if you later receive another notice saying the fee hasn’t been paid.
