The Canadian Hispanic Bar Association (CHBA) is awarding four CAD$1,000💵 scholarships to outstanding CHBA student members in recognition of academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to the legal community.

These scholarships are part of CHBA’s equity-driven initiatives to help address barriers faced by the Hispanic and Latin community in accessing the legal profession.

🎓 LAUNCHING: The 2026 Canadian Hispanic Bar Association (CHBA) Legal Education & Access Scholarships!

The Canadian Hispanic Bar Association (CHBA) is pleased to invite CHBA University Chapters to apply for the 2026 CHBA Legal Education & Access Scholarships.

CHBA will be awarding four CAD$1,000 scholarships to outstanding students who are active CHBA members, in recognition of their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to the legal community.

These scholarships are part of CHBA’s equity-driven initiatives aimed at addressing barriers faced by the Hispanic and Latin community in accessing the legal profession.

This initiative is more than a one-week experience, it’s a gateway for Latin American and Hispanic students to see themselves in the legal profession and explore paths in corporate, criminal, international law, and social justice.

⏳DEADLINE EXTENDED: Applications now close May 19, 2026.

Please share this opportunity with students in grades 10–12 who would benefit from the program. We’re also continuing to raise funds to expand access. Every contribution helps ensure talented students can participate regardless of financial barriers.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Calgary for our Winter Social & Alberta Launch! It was an incredible evening bringing together members of the legal community to connect, celebrate, and mark this exciting milestone for CHBA’s expansion into Alberta.

A special thank you again to our Alberta Director, Stefanie Stamm Carrasco, for her leadership in making this event possible.
