Exciting news! 🎉

I’m honoured to be running for a position on the 2026–2027 OBA Section Executive.

As a sole practitioner and immigration lawyer, I’ve experienced firsthand the value of mentorship, collegiality, and community within the legal profession. Serving on the Executive would be an opportunity to contribute, support fellow lawyers, and help strengthen engagement within our Section.

If you’re an OBA/CBA member and a member of our Section, I would be grateful for your vote.

🗳 Voting opens June 3, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

Grateful for kind words like this. Immigration journeys can feel overwhelming, so it means a lot when clients feel informed, supported, and at ease every step of the way. Thank you for trusting me with such an important process.

Another C10 physician work permit approved at the Port of Entry 🇨🇦

My client entered Canada smoothly and was issued a 2-year work permit on arrival.

No delays. No complications.

Just a properly prepared application, presented with a clear legal strategy.

Port of Entry applications are high pressure.
You don’t get a second chance in that moment.

That’s why preparation matters.

If you’re a physician or employer exploring the C10 pathway, make sure it’s done right the first time.

‼️ PLEASE BEWARE OF UNLICENSED INDIVIDUALS.

Not everyone offering immigration help is legally allowed to do so. I have had too many people come to me after having been scammed by unlicensed “consultants”.

Before you trust someone with your file, take 2 minutes to verify that they are properly licensed.

✔️ Lawyers → check the Law Society of Ontario directory
✔️ Consultants → check the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants public register

If they’re not licensed, they should not be offering immigration services or charging you for advice.

And if something goes wrong, there is no regulatory body to hold them accountable.

Protect yourself. Verify first.

🥳 IRCC issued another round of invitations today targeting trade occupations, with the lowest-ranked candidate invited at a CRS score of 477.

I know there are also many candidates in trades who were not invited, and this is where it’s important to take a closer look at your profile.

It’s not just about your job title.
Your NOC, your duties, and how your experience is presented all matter.

If you received an ITA today, congratulations. This is a critical stage, and how your application is prepared can make all the difference.

If you’re ready to move forward, I assist with Express Entry applications from start to submission, including reviewing your work experience, supporting documents, and preparing detailed submissions to accompany your application.

If your TRV was refused, don’t just reapply and hope for a different result.

A second application needs to be stronger, more strategic, and directly address the officer’s concerns from the first refusal.

Too often, I see people submit the same documents again with little to no explanation… and end up with another refusal.

Before you reapply, take the time to:
• Understand the refusal reasons
• Strengthen your supporting documents
• Clearly address concerns in a detailed submission

A well-prepared reapplication can make all the difference.

Every case is unique and outcomes are never guaranteed, but a thoughtful approach gives you a much better chance.

If you’ve been refused and want to reapply properly, this is where legal guidance matters.

IEC Working Holiday Visa approved ✔️🇨🇦

This case needed a little extra TLC due to prior visits to Canada and remote work considerations. With the right strategy and proactive disclosure, we got it across the finish line.

Every detail matters more than you think.

If you’re not sure how your history may impact your application, don’t guess. Get proper advice early.
