Meet Crystal! 🌟
As the Human Resources Manager at Cohen Highley LLP, Crystal was already well acquainted with Community Living London before she began volunteering with us. Cohen Highley has been a long‑time supporter of CLL, and it’s not uncommon to see their team members volunteering their time and attending our events.
Crystal’s personal volunteer journey began through a meaningful connection—one of the people supported through CLL’s Employment Program worked alongside her. Inspired by this experience, Crystal became involved with the Community in Motion Committee and later joined our Board of Directors, deepening her impact within the organization.
One of Crystal’s favourite parts of volunteering with CLL has been meeting people throughout the community, attending events, and forming lasting friendships. Among many meaningful moments, one stands out as especially memorable: being named Community Living London’s Volunteer of the Year in 2018—an achievement she considers one of the proudest moments of her life.
When asked what she would say to those considering volunteering at CLL, Crystal shares this encouragement: “Don’t wait! Not only will you provide support to the organization, but you will make invaluable connections that you will carry with you. It truly is a win‑win!”
