Proposed Workers’ Compensation Reforms Could Hurt Injured Workers

Stacks Goudkamp’ s Special Counsel, Krystal Parisis, has voiced serious concerns about the NSW Government’s proposed changes to the workers’ compensation scheme in an article published by insuranceNEWS.com.au.

Krystal warns that the reforms could unfairly exclude workers with serious psychological injuries from the financial support and legal rights they currently rely on. Under the proposed legislation, the threshold for psychological injury claims would rise to 31% whole person impairment — a level that very few injured workers meet.
