Day 22 of Celebrating Our Local Favourites: Chez Mademoiselle 🇫🇷

is a warm, inviting space on Greville Street that feels authentically French without leaning into clichés. Thoughtful interiors, a relaxed pace, and a sense that you’re welcome to stay a while rather than rush off.

The coffee is excellent, the food is delicious, and the staff are genuinely lovely. Attentive without hovering and proud of what they do.

It’s an easy recommendation for a relaxed catch-up, a takeaway coffee, or a slow morning at the table. Reliable, comfortable, and very much part of the Greville Street rhythm.

Day 21 of Celebrating Our Local Favourites: Casa Nom 🌵

is one of those places that quietly earns repeat visits. Relaxed, confident, and focused on doing a few things very well. The mezcal-led bar is the clear standout, with margaritas done properly and a drinks list that rewards a bit of curiosity.

Inside it’s light-filled and calm, outside it hums along nicely, and the food lands exactly where it should. Flavour-first, designed to share, and perfect for a long lunch that turns into an afternoon.
