Today marks 18 years since I was admitted to practice.

It's amazing how much has changed in that time technology has changed the way we work. Court hearings can happen online and everything moves faster. Collaborative practice and other alternatives to court have created more ways to help separating couples find a path forward. But one thing hasn't changed. People still need good advice, a steady hand and someone who generally listens when they navigating one of life's most difficult transitions. Behind every family no matter is a person, a family and a future that may look different from the one they imagined. The technology will keep evolving and the law will keep changing. The way we practice will continue to develop, but the human side of I'll family law that remains at the heart of it all.

18 years and I'm grateful to still be worth doing work that matters.

Separation is an end but not the end. Think about where you want to be in twelve months time. Really imagine what life looks like and dream big and write it down. It helps to work with a family lawyer who will help you meet those goals when you tell them at your first appointment.
