Tomorrow. One panel. All four professions. The CEO of AUSTRAC.

If you haven't registered yet, today is your last chance.

For the first time, conveyancers, lawyers, real estate professionals, and accountants are on one panel together for Australia's first cross-sector AML/CTF forum.

triSearch is proud to support InfoTrack AU in bringing you this complimentary virtual event, where you'll gain:

✔️ Clarity on where your firm sits relative to peers

✔️ Direct insight from AUSTRAC on what separates a program that simply exists from one that would hold up under review

✔️ Answers to the questions you haven't had the chance to ask, covering reliance across parties, balancing compliance with client relationships, and consumer obligations, explored through real scenarios

✔️ Sector guides and on-demand resources to help close gaps in your program before and after 1 July

You'll hear directly from:

- Brendan Thomas, CEO of AUSTRAC
- Bobbie Wan, Head of Regulatory Policy and Strategy at The Law - Society of NSW
- Jill Muir, Senior Policy Advocate at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
- Richard Storey, Partner, Risk Consulting at Grant Thornton Australia
- Jennie Tonner, President of AICNSW
- Nicole Unger, General Counsel of REINSW

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our AML/CTF Customer Due Diligence Workflow webinar today, and to our speakers Mateus MacKenzie and Maria Kontorigas for walking conveyancers through the CDD workflow.

Customer due diligence is one of the most frequently misapplied parts of the AML/CTF framework. As firms continue preparing for Tranche 2, having clear and repeatable due diligence processes will be critical to meeting obligations with confidence.

Our third and final webinar in this series, AML/CTF Reliance, is coming up on 24 June.

Most conveyancers know customer due diligence is coming. Fewer know the full picture of what it actually involves.

Under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) reforms, a compliant CDD workflow covers five distinct steps: identity verification, PEP and sanctions screening, KYC/KYB questionnaires, risk assessment, and ongoing monitoring. Each one carries its own obligations.

With 1 July weeks away, join our complimentary webinar on 16 June to walk through what a compliant workflow looks like in practice and how the triSearch Compliance Centre supports each stage.

Today, more than 700 conveyancing firms across Australia attended our session to get their AUSTRAC enrolment, draft risk assessment, and core AML/CTF compliance foundations across the line before the July 1 deadline.

With AUSTRAC'S deadline approaching in a few weeks, getting this foundational compliance work done is a significant step forward. We're proud to support Australian conveyancers and legal practitioners on that journey.

A big thank you to Richard Storey from Grant Thornton Australia for leading the session, Jennie Tonner from AIC NSW for representing the industry's voice throughout the workshop, Chris Gibbs for hosting, and Mark Pinto for the AML/CTF training and live AUSTRAC enrolment guidance.

The recording will be available next week. If you have outstanding questions we didn't get to answer today, please contact your Account Manager, or email [email protected] and we will be in touch.

In our recent AML/CTF Onboarding for Non-Individuals webinar, we explored the onboarding requirements for companies, trusts, and partnerships under Tranche 2.

From 1 July 2026, non-individual clients can no longer be treated as a simple variation of standard client intake. Firms will be expected to verify entities, identify ultimate beneficial owners, understand ownership and control structures, and maintain clear records throughout the onboarding process.

The webinar covered what onboarding non-individual clients involves, the key challenges that come with it, and how the triSearch Compliance Centre can help firms manage the process.

If you missed the session, we've summarised the key insights and takeaways in our latest blog.

Only one month left until AML/CTF obligations come into effect.

If you haven't completed your AUSTRAC enrolment, our complimentary Hands-on AML/CTF Enrolment Workshop on 11 June is a good starting point.

In this practical session, you'll be guided through AUSTRAC enrolment step by step, while also covering AML/CTF risk assessments, policies and procedures and key compliance requirements.

The workshop will be led by Richard Storey, Partner in Risk Consulting at Grant Thornton Australia, alongside Jennie Tonner, President of Australian Institute of Conveyancers - NSW Division (AICNSW) and Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW) Board Member. By the end of the session, you'll have a draft enrolment underway and a clearer understanding of your AML/CTF obligations ahead of 1 July.
