Senior Attorney position available at a well-established law firm based in Umhlanga.
1. Please note that this position is immediately available.
Necessary requirements for the suitable applicant:
2. The candidate applying must be in possession of an LLB Degree with Post admission experience of at least a minimum of two years.
3. Must be able to travel (own transport) within the boroughs of Kwa-Zulu Natal/Johannesburg.
4. The Applicant must also be able to bring in clientele to which a commissioned based structure is applicable outside a set basic salary.
Experience required:
5. Please note that experience in Civil Litigation, Family Law, Magistrate, High court and Debt collection is crucial.
6. Please no chancers and time wasters as we are able to establish very quickly if you have the requisite experience.
7. Trial/arbitration and litigation savvy and experience is necessary.
Not required but will be beneficial:
8. High court rights or the application of such rights of appearance.
9. A post-graduate degree such as a Masters In Law/Diploma in further studies or a desire to further educational studies.
Suitability of candidate applying:
10. The candidate applying must be assertive and able to work well in conflict situations including being a team player. He/she must have strong computer literacy skills and just be an independent critical thinker. The candidate must be willing to work long hours in accordance with needs of the business and nature of the industry. The Candidate must be fluent in English and English writing, with a reasonable flair for penmanship, with the ability to lead evidence and cross-examine.
