Nokuphila Community Services is a non-profit organization that provides Care and Support services to people living with HIV/AIDS, orphans and vulnerable children in and around Springs in the Ekurhuleni area. The organisation runs an Early Childhood Development & Learning Centre, Poverty Alleviation programs, provides Psychosocial Support to the affected and infected and runs a Drop-In Centre among

other things, which caters mainly for primary going children who require our services. This includes ensuring that they get nutritious breakfast delivered to their respective schools on a daily basis, a balanced meal for lunch also on a daily basis as well as assistance with homework. We are about to launch a computer centre to ensure that these underprivileged children get an opportunity to be exposed to computers early in life and that they can fairly compete with other more privileged children. We will greatly appreciate any form of assistance to further our objectives and to reach more beneficiaries. Nokuphila Community Services was founded in 1988 as a small operation providing fresh food to people living with HIV/AIDS. Initially sponsored by the Seventh Day adventist Church in Kwathema, and operated within their premises. Broadway cares, through the efforts of Ronnie Kunene, was the first donor and the backbone of Nokuphila. Launched in 2000 as Community Based Project. Registered as an NPO IN 2001 and became separate, legal entity. Started and Lauched Day Care in 2004. A Drop-in Centre was Launched in 2005 to provide a wide range of services to orphans and vulnerable children.

Procedure for enrolment:

The potential student is required to complete the application form in full and pay the application fee of R250 plus deposit to support your application.

Upon receipt of application, a student advisor will be in contact with the candidate to discuss the outcome of the application and way forward.

To secure enrolment slots, payment is required to be paid in full before the end of registration period.

Please note: Nokuphila ECD Skills Training Centre does not qualify for NSFAS Bursary Funds as we are a Private Higher Education institution.
