This is the place to be if you advise companies or even appear before the Tribunal. 😁
This panel is where the practical implications of the Companies Tribunal’s extended jurisdiction and the appointment of retired judges at the Tribunal are discussed.

Under the direction of Judge Dennis Davis, the Tribunal’s Chairperson, Adv. Don Mahon SC (Johannesburg Society of Advocates), the Tribunal’s own Dr. Minah Tong Mongalo, and Mrs. Irene Mathatho, the discussion shifts to what “extended jurisdiction” actually means for the Tribunal, companies, and practitioners.

Panellists Machini Motloung (NADEL Chairman), Nkosana Mvundlela (BLA President), and Adv. Myron Dewrance SC (Advocates for Transformation) giving insights on justice, procedure, and access.

Tuesday 31 March 2026, 17:00‑19:00, JSA Offices—Second Floor, The Chambers, 3 Protea Place, Sandton.

📻 Tune in Today!

We are proud to share that one of our SGB members and parent, Dr Minah Tong-Mongalo, will be featured on Radio 2000 today at 14:40.

During the interview, Dr Tong-Mongalo will be raising awareness about the important work of the Companies Tribunal, a quasi-judicial body established in terms of the Companies Act of 2008 to help resolve company disputes.

Some of the matters the Tribunal assists with include:
✔️ Company name disputes
✔️ Failure to hold AGMs
✔️ Director disputes
✔️ Other company-related conflicts

The Tribunal’s goal is to promote access to justice by resolving these disputes speedily and free of charge for the parties involved.

This promises to be valuable and informative for many of our parents and community members, especially those involved in business.

👏 Congratulations to Dr Minah Tong-Mongalo on this wonderful platform to share such important information. We are proud to have you as part of our school community!
