It was an ordinary day, some three/four years ago. Sis Phindi – the lady who is assisting me at the office – informs me that, there is a lady who asked to schedule a meeting with me. I generally get these requests and will schedule them any week day from 14:00 until 16:00.
As planned with Sis Phindi, this lady arrives for our 14:00 at 13:40 am told (Good Point). I think I was still stuck at court but arrived at the office around 14:20. For some reason I was awfully tired that day!!! And had a number of admin to finalise. ☹️
To my surprise, this lady was there for an “interview”. With my strong recruitment background. I asked her to draft a letter for a client, who happened to be a good friend and was with me when I was giving this “candidate” instruction. To my amazement she produced a well written document.
Please, report to work tomorrow at 08:00. We will do a full orientation tomorrow. Three years down…. She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Allow me to introduce you to Ms Kamogelo “Kamo” Danmas.
Dear Kamo,
As you enter this noble profession. I ask that you be diligent in your relationship with all clients you serving. Give them all the best advise they seek, let your daily and a desire to grow in the profession be that one of purpose. Let your time, energy, and focus reflect your commitment to your calling.
Please display obedience like you have been doing. Let your past and post experience shape your wisdom and enhance your deeper understanding of the law. Once more, be guided by the spirit of service and not that of capital gain.
To Adv, Bra Nim, Tat’Mbulelo Tantsi – thanks ever soo much for always availing yourself. We are highly indebted to your good self. Thanks once more Sir.
