Brink & Van Straaten Attorneys are looking for a Commercial and Labour law Attorney to join our fast-growing firm in Pretoria East. The candidate for this position will be successful if they are a dynamic, self-driven Attorney with previous Commercial and Labour Law experience.

Minimum requirements for this position:
• Minimum of 2-5 years post Article experience.
• 2-3 years’ experience in Commercial Law, with a focus on reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.
• 2-3 years’ experience in Labour Law.
• Technical excellence and ability to apply legal skills in a practical way.
• Candidates must also be able to speak both Afrikaans and English and have the ability to travel from work to surrounding Courts.
• The successful candidate will be highly motivated and keen to take responsibility.
• Able to work independently, and meticulous attention to detail is essential.
• Exceptional Communication skills.
• Strong Computer Literacy.
• Knowledge of GhostPractice would be beneficial, but not essential.
What the role entails:
• Taking charge of Commercial Matters.
• Assisting with CCMA Cases and Internal Labour Matters.
• Attending Courts and the CCMA.
• Research, keeping up to date with, analyse and investigate case law and legislation relating to labour, and commercial law relative to legal concerns.
• Structure proposed remedies and provide solutions to legal issues identified.
• Ability to produce consistently high-quality work under pressure whilst maintaining efficient turnaround times.
Salary:
• Market related (depending on years of experience).
