Life insurance claim denied without proper grounds? Disability insurance claim rejected on baseless and disproportionate justifications?

Some insurance companies reject claims initially as a general rule and place the onus on the client to prove the claim, who has no idea what to do or where to start. Some companies also reject claims for not adhering to criteria and conditions that do not exist or which is irrelevant.

The Western Cape High Court has ordered a man to pay a total of R1.25m in damages for defamatory statements he made about Hank's Olde Irish Pub on Bree Street, Cape Town, and its owners in December 2022.

We are immensely excited to announce that Mr. Jurian Bezuidenhout will be joining the team at Bezuidenhout Law Inc.

Mr. Bezuidenhout finished his BCom Law degree in 2013 at the University of Pretoria and his LLB Law degree in 2017 at Unisa. He also holds various diplomas in inter alia Advanced Insolvency and Environmental Law from Unisa. Mr. Bezuidenhout also received an International certificate from Samtrac in Health, Safety and compliance.

Mr. Bezuidenhout will attend to deceased estates, family law, Environmental Law and Insolvency Law.

Rehabilitation in a nutshell!

Rehabilitation is an application brought by an Insolvent (previously sequestrated) to be declared solvent again, thus rehabilitated.

The effect is that of bringing an end to your sequestration and discharging all your debts which were due, or cause of which had arisen before the sequestration.

This application is therefore brought after the sequestration and after the Trustee finalised the administration thereof. After the rehabilitation application is granted, the Applicant will regain control over his estate and be able to deal accordingly.
The time frame as to when an application for the rehabilitation after sequestration, can be brought differ in accordance to the circumstances of the sequestration.
