FIDELITY FUND CERTIFICATE (FFC)

What is the Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC)?
The FFC is a mandatory requirement for all practicing legal practitioners who are practising for their own account (trust account) in South Africa. It's a certificate issued by the Legal Practitioner's Fidelity Fund (LPFF) that serves as a safeguard against financial losses caused by misappropriation or theft of Trust Funds by a legal practitioner or member(s) of a law firm/practice.

WAT IS ‘N TITELAKTE?

‘n Titelakte dien as bewys van wie die geregistreerde eienaar van die betrokke eiendom is.

Die Titleakte word deur die Registrateur van die relevante Aktekantoor geregistreer wanneer ‘n aktevervaardiger die eiendom aan ‘n nuwe eienaar oordra.

Die titelakte bevat inligting oor die eiendom en die geskiedenis daarvan. Dit bevat voorwaardes waaraan die eiendom onderhewig mag wees.

Indien ‘n verband oor die eiendom geregistreer is word die Titelakte sowel as die Verbandakte aan die betrokke Bank gestuur vir die veilige bewaring van die Titel en Verbandakte.

Indien daar nie ‘n verband oor die eiendom geregistreer word nie, en die eiendom word kontant gekoop sal u betrokke Aktevervaardiger u kontak om die oorspronklike Titelakte te kom afhaal en moet u die Titelakte veilig bewaar, aangesien indien u weer die eiendom verkoop die Aktevervaardiger die oorspronklike Titelakte gaan verlang ten einde voort te kan gaan met die oordrag van die eiendom.
