We are pleased to welcome the University of Cape Town’s Leadership in Extractives and African Development (LEAD) Programme as a Knowledge Partner to the Extractive Industry Virtual Legal Work Experience Programme, developed by the South African Mining Youth Association (SAMYA) in collaboration with Tokyo Ndlela Attorneys Inc.

UCT LEAD brings an important academic and interdisciplinary perspective to the Programme, complementing the practical legal and industry perspectives underpinning its development.

Beyond the conventional path in law.

TNA Candidate Attorney, Mukovhe Marole, recently joined the Wits Law Students Council for its “Extraordinary Legal Professions: Beyond the Status Quo” engagement.

The conversation explored the breadth of opportunities available to those with legal training and the many ways in which legal skills can be applied across different industries, institutions and professional environments.

At TNA, we believe the development of young legal professionals extends beyond legal practice — it includes building the confidence, perspective and industry awareness needed to contribute meaningfully wherever their careers may lead.

TNA Managing Partner appointed Chairperson of SAIMM YPC

Tokyo Ndlela, Managing Partner of Tokyo Ndlela Attorneys Inc., has been appointed Chairperson of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Young Professionals Council (SAIMM YPC).

The appointment is particularly significant as he becomes the first lawyer to serve as Chairperson of the YPC, reflecting the increasingly multidisciplinary nature of the modern mining industry.

His appointment further strengthens TNA’s ongoing engagement with the mining and resources sector and its commitment to contributing to the development of the industry beyond the provision of legal services.

We are pleased to welcome Mukovhe Marole as a Candidate Attorney at Tokyo Ndlela Attorneys Inc.

Mukovhe joins the firm with an LLB from Varsity College and an LLM in Mineral & Energy Resources Law from the University of Cape Town, reflecting a focused academic foundation aligned with our specialist mining and energy advisory practice.
