Filing for DIVORCE
A divorce entails the cancelling or reorganising of the legal responsibilities of marriage, thus dissolving the bonds of matrimony between a married couple under the rule of law.

In the many reasons that could lead to a divorce, one is entitled to a divorce as long as you can prove to court that you can nolonger live together and there is no chance resolution. You do not need your spouses permission to so. In special circumstances you can get your marriage annulled.

An annulment dissolves the marriage but also wipes it off the record that’s how it differs from divorce.
To start the divorce process you need to have summons served to the defendant by the sheriff of the court.
