The strength and courage of the women who took a stand against past laws that aimed to infringe on human rights are celebrated yearly in South Africa. Because of these courageous women, we, today see a rise in women achieving the impossible.

We aim to commemorate Women’s month this year by celebrating the achievements and the positive role played by many of our young women from the province of Mpumalanga.

Interestingly, a “Hybrid” legal system is formed when 2 or more legal systems are combined. In the case of South Africa, it is a combination of the Civil Law system adopted from the Dutch, the Common Law adopted from the British and then our African Customary Law adopted from the indigenous Africans of our country.
