When you report the Deceased estate at the master of the high court, one of the two letterS can be issued depending on the value of the estate.

If the value of the estate is above R 250 000.00, then the letter of executorship will be issued.

If the value of the estate is below R 250 000.00 , the master will issue the letter of Authority....

A deceased estate must be reported by a family member, such as his/her surviving spouse or the children.

Or any other person who has an interest in the estate.
Or the person who has a will and is appointed as the Executor.

How can you report an estate,,,

A deceased estate must be reported at the Master of the high court or at the Magistrate office.

The following supporting documents are required...

- Death certificate
- A will ('if any)
- identify documents of the deceased and the executor/ representative.
- Marriage certificate (if any)
- Nomination forms by heirs, (if any)
- details of the children (if any)
- And all the necessary information belonging to the deceased, including all the assets.
