Looking for a notary? You’re not alone, and there aren’t many of us around.
Notarial services are essential for certain legal documents, especially those that need to be formalised, authenticated, or used internationally.
If you’re unsure whether your document needs a notary, just ask. We’re here to help.

“We shook on it” isn’t a contract. It’s a memory. And memories fade.
Verbal loan agreements might feel convenient, until someone forgets the amount, the terms, or that the loan even existed.
Whether it’s money, property, or promises, if it’s not in writing, it’s a gamble. And in court, “he said/she said” won’t pay your legal fees.

Protect yourself. Protect your relationships. Put it in writing. Even a basic contract beats a brilliant memory. 💡

Married in community of property? That’s cute. Now let’s talk postnups.
Because “what’s mine is yours” sounds romantic… until it includes your spouse’s unpaid tax bill and that gym membership they haven’t used since 2017.
A postnuptial contract lets you change your marital regime after the wedding, but it’s not cheap. You’ll need a High Court application, notice to all creditors, and a budget that covers more than just matching mugs and scented candles.

Still worth it to protect your assets. And your sanity..

Meet Elaine (Who Thought Wills Were for Old People): 29, independent, property owner, and allergic to paperwork (especially the kind that says “will”).
She bought a bonded townhouse and forgot one tiny detail, what happens if she doesn’t wake up tomorrow.
Turns out, adulting includes dying responsibly. And yes, Elaine is completely fictional.

Meet Thomas the Solo Flyer (Who Outsmarted Everyone Except the State): 68, single, child-free, and blissfully unaware that dying without a will still comes with paperwork.
He lived his best life and left behind his house, favourite recliner, a savings account, and a legal shrug, and the State got it all.
Turns out, “I’ve got nothing” isn’t a valid estate plan. Thomas is of course fictional.

Meet Lindiwe: divorced ten years ago, emotionally healed, legally… not so much.
Her will still starred her ex-husband as the main beneficiary; plot twist, even he was surprised.
Turns out, if your love life changes, your paperwork should too. Lindiwe is of course fictional... and so is her ex.

Meet Todd: loving dad, proud homeowner.
He left the house to his kids… and forgot to mention the mountain of debt parked in the driveway.
Turns out, you can’t bequeath bricks without balancing the books.
But hey, his story reminds us: a little planning now can save your loved ones a whole lot of drama later.
And yes.. Todd is completely fictional.

We’re serving estate drama with a generous side of humour.
Yes, we’ll smile—but we’ll also learn why “I’ll sort it out later” is not a great estate plan.
This post (and the series that follows) introduces five fictional characters. Except… they’re not. You’ve met them. You might be them.
We’re using humour to tell their stories, but the message is serious: without a will or estate plan, what you leave behind might be more chaos than closure.
Stay tuned for tales that are funny, familiar, and just uncomfortable enough to make you finally sort out your paperwork.

This one is dedicated to Sarah the Supermom (Who Actually Had Her Life Together).
