Dear Leppan Nelmes Attorneys clients

This chapter has reached its conclusion and I will be closing Leppan Nelmes Attorneys permanently. The last day for the practice will be 11 March 2022. Do not fear, I will still be able to assist you with all your legal needs, only now it will be under a different practice name of Van Der Linde Attorneys - Gauteng branch.

Each client will individually receive a letter explaining the process of change and implementation going forward. I thank each and every one of you for your years of support and look forward to being able to still provide you with my best attention and service.

Have you taken your car for a service, repair or for something where you've had to leave your car in their care?

Did you know? Section 65(2) of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 specifies that while your car in under their care, they must exercise care, diligence and skill in the handling, safeguarding and utilisation of your car. Failure to do so means that they are liable for any loss you incur. Loss includes the vehicle being stolen or damaged.

Did you know? A nullification can be granted for non-compliance with the formal or material requirements. Some of these are:

- the marriage was solemnised by someone who is not a competent marriage officer
- a girl below the age of 15 or a boy below the age of 18 enters into a marriage without the written consent of the Minister of Home Affairs
- no witnesses were present
- one of the parties is already a party to another civil marriage
- the parties are related to each other within the prohibited degrees of relationship
