*Adjusted Level 4 Lockdown - 27 June 2021

• The curfew hours are now 9pm to 4am. All “non-essential establishments” must close by 8pm.

• Public spaces, beaches and parks will remain open. However, no gatherings will be permitted in such places;

• All gatherings, including political, cultural, social and religious gatherings, are banned.

• The following establishments are closed for gatherings until at least 11 July:
- Cinemas & theatres;
- Casinos;
- Museums, galleries & libraries;
- Gyms & fitness centres;
- Conferencing, exhibitions & entertainment facilities.
- Auctions;
- No spectators allowed at sporting events.

• Restaurants and eateries may only sell food for takeaway or delivery.

• Sale of alcohol for both onsite and offsite consumption is prohibited.

• Travel in and out of Gauteng is severely restricted.

Note that the following is also allowed if you have the correct permits.
- Once off allowance to return home if out of province on 27 June.
- Carrying out work responsibilities;
- Attending a funeral;
- Transiting through Gauteng;
- Transporting dead bodies;
- Leaners;
- Moving to a new place of residence;
- Caring for an immediate family member;
- Obtaining medical treatment;

• Travel Permits
- Form 4: Permit to Travel to & from Gauteng for a Funeral - must be certified by a magistrate or police station.
- Form 7: Carrying Out Work Responsibilities issued by an employer.
- Form 6: Travel to & from Another Province - must be certified by a magistrate or police station.

• Funerals and cremations will be permitted but attendance may not exceed 50 people. Night vigils and after-funeral gatherings are not allowed.

•Visits to old age homes and care facilities will be restricted.

• School holidays are brought forward, with schools closing from Wednesday. “All schools will be expected to be closed by the end of the week on Friday.”

• In-person classes at tertiary institutions will cease. Residences will remain open.

• No restrictions have been placed on companies, meaning most businesses “should continue to operate at full capacity, as long as they observe all health protocols in the workplace”.

• Hotels, lodges, b&b, timeshare, resorts & guesthouses are allowed 50% capacity. Dining is for room service or take-aways only. No alcohol sales.
