IAN LOCKYER (Owner) Was born in Ghana and schooled in England, Ian Lockyer came to South Africa at the age of 18 to start his business career. Initially working as an architectural draughtsman, Lockyer entered the real estate sector in his early 20s, successfully managing a number of agencies and building many others into top-performing concerns from vurtually nothing. Part of his experience in th

e real estate sector, included working with Brian Stocks of the then Southern Suns timeshare sales giving Lockyer an in depth knowledge of the leisure industry. With significant achievements in real estate under his belt and a feeling of "been there, done that", Lockyer bid the industry farewell in the late 1990s to pursue other business interests. He subsequently joined the organization as part of its management team and so returned to the industry that he knew and loved. In the years leading up to becoming a Remax Broker owner, Lockyer has remained closely associated with property giant Remax where his sales achievements have garnered him many local and international awards. His sales track record in both listing and selling is on a par with the best in the business. He is highly respected in the competitive property industry and is often asked to speak on property issues at seminars. Excited by a new vision in the real estate industry, Harcourts attracted Lockyer's attention. After thorough investigation of Harcourts, Lockyer had no choice but to buy in to, what will no doubt be, the greatest and largest real estate company in South Africa. Harcourts Pinnacle was formed. Lockyer is a visionary with a keen sense for innovative business enterprises. He believes in fair business dealings that don't disadvantage one party or the other and respects the diversity of people. He strives for recognition in all that he does because "recognition brings success, wealth and influence." In line with his belief in property ownership Lockyer owns a significant property portfolio. Away from real estate and his other business interests, Lockyer is a licensed pilot and certified open water scuba diver. He has a great passion for the outdoors, golf, and big fast bikes. Time with his family also keeps him centered and content.
