Black Friday deals can be tempting — but your consumer rights don’t go on sale. 🛍️⚖️

Before you fill your cart, here’s what the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) says every South African shopper should know:

✅ If a product is marked at a lower price than it scans at the till — you’re entitled to pay the lower displayed price.
✅ You can return defective goods within six months for repair, replacement, or refund — no “no returns on sale items” excuses.
✅ All promotional pricing must be transparent — no misleading “was R999, now R499” claims unless the discount is real.
✅ You have the right to cancel direct marketing purchases within five business days.
✅ Stores cannot force you to take a credit note if you’re legally entitled to a refund.

So before you swipe that card — shop smart, stay informed, and protect your pocket this Black Friday. 💳⚖️
