Yes, absolutely. The Consumer Protection Act (CPA) applies to second-hand or used goods sold to customers in the ordinary course of your business.🤓

This means that if the goods do not comply with the CPA a customer can, within 6 months of purchase, either request you to:

• Repair ⚒ or replace the defective goods; or
• Refund the customer fully for the goods purchased.
• The CPA states that if the seller is unable to repair the defect within three months the seller must:
• Replace the goods; or
• Refund the consumer fully.

So, if you are a second-hand or used goods reseller then bear the above in mind or you may find yourself in hot water 🥵 with the Consumer Commission.
