Founded in 2010, Maritza du Plessis Attorneys is a dynamic, client-focused

Our Team. Meet Maritza du Plessis – Attorney | B.COM (LAW), LLB

A force to be reckoned with.

Maritza du Plessis is the founder of MDP Attorneys and the driving force behind its success. She completed both her BCom Law degree and her LLB within five years, demonstrating her determination and discipline early in her career.

Her legal journey began in 2004 when she started her articles at Jaco Roos Attorneys in Pretoria, later completing them at Lategan, Viljoen Attorneys in Brits. She was admitted as an attorney in February 2007, as a conveyancer in September 2007, and as a notary in August 2009. On 1 May 2010, she opened her own firm, which proudly celebrates its Sweet 16 this year.

Beyond her legal achievements, Maritza has also served as a counselor at the DA since 2016. She is known for her decisiveness, reliability, and unwavering commitment—when she makes a promise, she keeps it.

Maritza loves to travel and explore new cuisines, bringing the same curiosity and energy to her personal life as she does to her professional practice. Her ability to make quick, confident decisions and act immediately has shaped MDP Attorneys into the dynamic, trusted firm it is today.
