CUSTOMARY MARRIAGE ( DIVORCE)

Recently Seeing a lot of women divorcing their estranged husbands who only paid lobola for them and going after their pensions fund. (50% PENSION INTEREST)

Although it is recommended to register a customary marriage at Home Affairs in order to have proof of the marriage, it does not mean that your unregistered customary marriage is invalid. It just makes it harder to prove.
Under normal circumstances, the Home Affairs would require the following documents as proof if you were to register the marriage:

1. The Lobola letter
2. Wedding photographs(yes take pictures of the Lobola ceremony)
3. Witnesses
( NOTE THAT SAME EVIDENCE IS NEEDED WHEN DISSOLVING A CUSTOMARY MARRIAGE)

Now the question is, how can i leave an unregistered customary marriage if i lost Lobola negotiations letter?
