We are currently seeking a Professional Assistant or Associate Attorney to join our Cape Town office. This role will be primarily based in the Northern Suburbs, offering an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners on complex, high-stakes legal matters.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
- Manage a portfolio of matters across civil litigation, criminal law, tax disputes, and criminal defence.
- Draft legal pleadings, opinions, and correspondence to a high professional standard.
- Attend court proceedings, client consultations, and briefings.
- Undertake legal research and analysis, particularly involving complex statutory frameworks.
- Liaise professionally with clients, counsel, and external stakeholders.
𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞:
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
- 1–4 years’ post-admission experience, preferably with exposure to criminal, civil, or tax-related matters.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload and work independently when required.
- A proactive and disciplined work ethic, with a commitment to professional excellence.
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport are essential.
