Saturday, 23rd August signified a monumental milestone in our firm’s rich history: 125 years of excellent legal service.

From modest beginnings in a small Cape Town office, STBB has steadily grown into a leading national law firm with 13 strategically positioned offices across four provinces. While one cannot know what the firm’s founders envisioned for the future, I’m almost certain they’d be proud of our upward trajectory.

Ultimately, 125 years of business represents much more than a number. Over the years, we’ve not only expanded our service offerings, honed our skills, and established a national footprint, but have adapted to changing times, embraced the evolving demands of the legal industry, and overcome the obstacles created by external pressures, including the economic downturn in 2008 and the COVID-19 pandemic.

This kind of longevity signals an embodiment of the values and characteristics we cherish most: Professionalism, credibility, endurance, integrity, resilience, strategic partnerships, the cultivation of long-lasting client relationships, and most of all, trust – in our services and in our people. It is these core values that have shaped our practice, guided our conduct, and sustained our growth in an intensely competitive industry.

STBB East London had the privilege of hosting a beautiful Women’s Day Breakfast at the serene Prana Lodge. Honouring the unity, strength, and brilliance of women’s minds and bodies. 💛✨

A heartfelt thank you to our esteemed guest speaker, Barbara Dobrowsky, for her insight into how our minds work and to the incredible Body Culture ladies, Christine Ott and Charmaine de Witt, for their relaxing stretch demonstration followed by relaxing hand massages from the Prana Spa ladies.💖

As well as the beautiful gift bags from Basically Beautiful and Lime Fusion.

STBB-East London, in partnership with BetterBond and RE/MAX Border , proudly took part in a pad drive in honour of Women’s Month.

We had the privilege of visiting two local high schools, where we handed out sanitary pads to underprivileged young women.

It’s more than just a donation — it’s about dignity, empowerment, and showing that women are powerful. 💪💗

NEWSFLASH | Moments ago, the South African Reserve Bank elected to lower the repo rate from 7.25% to 7%, with effect from 1st August 2025. Correspondingly, the prime lending rate is now 10.5%.
