Here are a few pointers for you.

Now being an ex educator I have to emphasize that past papers are key to testing your knowledge. My advice: sit down at your desk and practise as if it is the exam. Time yourself and do not use any help from your workbooks or textbooks. In this way you will know exactly which areas are lacking and you can turn your focus to these.

Absolutely 💯 percent. Your mind needs a break. Switch on the TV and watch something funny for half an hour or get up and take a walk in the garden. C’mon I know many of you love to okay on that XBox or PlayStation - why not as long as you have a time block for everything you do. Parents I am not advocating ditching the books🤣 - this is is the break time.

Yes yes yes… you have to sleep but I know different students have preferred hours of study time. Actually when I was at university and school - I studied best early in the morning- so early to bed and early to rise to crack open those books!

“If you’re renting or letting out property in South Africa, this is the deposit info that saves you money and headaches.”

Here's what the Rental Housing Act actually requires when it comes to deposits.

One. Your deposit isn't just held in cash. The landlord is required to put it into an interest-bearing account, and that interest belongs to the tenant when the lease ends.

Two. No deductions can happen without a joint inspection. Before move-in and before move-out, landlord and tenant walk through the property together and sign off on its condition.

Three. Timing matters. If there’s nothing to deduct, the law requires the deposit — plus interest — to be paid back within days of the lease ending, not whenever it suits the landlord. If repairs are needed, the landlord has to move quickly and show proof of costs.

Four. Photos protect both sides. Tenants — photograph everything on move-in day. Landlords — do the same. It’s the simplest way to avoid a dispute later.”
