If these docks could speak, they would tell thousands of stories.
Stories of people convicted,Stories of people found not guilty,Stories of lives changed forever,not because they were guilty, but because they were judged before the evidence was ever heard.
The courtroom is the only place where guilt should be determined.
Our legal system is founded on one of its most fundamental principles: every accused person is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
This principle does not exist to protect criminals,it exists to protect justice, to safeguard the innocent, and to ensure that no person is condemned without due process.
Justice is measured by evidence, not assumptions.
Because one day, it may not be someone else standing in this dock. It could be anyone. And when that day comes, the presumption of innocence is a right we would all want the law to uphold.
