For those that question my gripe with Rawson Developments here after 5 years of fighting on behalf of a client with no direct benefit to myself >
Hi, after many months of assessment of the building and negotiation with Rawson I am very pleased to announce that work to repair the latent defects will commence on 31 January. Land and Sea will be communicating with owners shortly about access to apartments and an overview of the scope of the work. The exact project timeframe will be finalised once the initial work commences.

Anyone study the CoCt proposed budget and notice why the Street lights are on all day? That is because we are paying for it.
Most consumption energy components include a non-regulated amount
of 37.57 c/kWh, made up of an amount of 7.95 c/kWh to fund street
lighting and 29.62 c/kWh Contribution to Rates. Where an incentive has
been applied, only the street lighting portion will be applicable
I think if everyone was aware of this, the people that are therefore actually funding the cable thieves in their community would possibly rat on the thieves.
Also maybe the City should learn to actually save money by switching off lights in areas deemed safe from cable theft.

Please check your Rates bills if you own a vacant piece of land or your property is marked as such. Change it to residential soonest. Vacant land attracts double rates in Cape Town for some very strange reason.
