Anelma graduated with the degrees, LL.B., LL.M. postgraduate from the University of Stellenbosch and completed her Articles of Clerkship in early 2011.

In February 2011, Anelma was admitted as a Legal Practitioner (Attorney), Conveyancer and Notary Public.

Anelma being bilingual in Afrikaans and English, holding years of post-admission experience, a friendly, people-orientated, approachable and down to earth nature, heads-up our Firm’s Conveyancing- and Notarial Department and also assists with our Wills & Estates Department.

MEET ABRI DE BRUYN
(B.A.Law, LL.B. Postgraduate)

Admitted Legal Practitioner (Attorney) & LSSA LEAD accredited Civil Mediator

Abri graduated with the degrees B.A. Law- and LL.B. postgraduate from the University of Stellenbosch.

Post completion of his Articles of Clerkship and due to relocation of the Firm to another Province, Abri temporarily ventured into a Legal Consultancy role by working as an Deceased Estates Administrator for one of the top Banks in the country.

With a genuine passion for the practising legal profession, Abri soon returned to the practising legal profession to establish and head-up the Civil Litigation Department within a boutique Criminal Law Firm based in Bellville, where he attended to numerous Civil Litigation matters, particularly in the fields of Divorce and Protection Orders.

Abri holds in excess of 2 years’ post-admission experience as an admitted Legal Practitioner and he is further an LSSA LEAD accredited Civil Mediator, providing him with unique alternative dispute resolution skills.

Abri further holds experience- and a keen interest in particularly Domestic Violence Court-, Children’s Court- and Maintenance Court matters, as well as Regional Court Divorces.

Abri joined Team Rive Law Inc. in July 2026 and has already proven to be an invaluable asset to our Team, with his efficiency and humility.
