He walked the path of the old ways,
And communed with spirits of the ancient days.
His magic brought both light and shade,
But in the end, it couldn't ease his pain.
A friend, a brother, kind and wise,
With knowledge deep and ancient seeing eyes.
Who taught us all to love the earth,
And celebrate life's sacred worth.
A life lived in reverence of the earth,
A heart full of love, a soul full of worth.
You taught us to embrace the cycles of life,
To see the beauty in all, to embrace the strife
And though he’s gone, his spirit lives,
His teachings and his love survive.
In every tree, in every breeze,
In every sacred rite and feast.
Though he has left this mortal plane,
His soul is free, and his spirit reigns.
In perfect peace, in perfect love,
In eternal Summerland.
Rest well, dear witch, and know you are loved,
Your magic and your spirit soar above.
May the elements bless you on your journey bright,
And bring you peace in the eternal night.

The pain of losing someone we love is unbearable. Words cannot express the grief that we feel, especially when it's someone who battled demons every day of their life. Dracos Stormshadow was such a person. He lived in the storm all day, every day, with rain pouring down on him without any respite.
Despite the burden of mental illness, he raised a little girl, helped others, and never gave up on his passions. He was always real, always there, even though he was struggling. He tried to stay busy, tried to hide his pain, but his struggles remained. Despite the comments that he was a downer, he was never a burden. His brain told him he was, but in reality, he was loved by so many.
His absence leaves a void in our hearts and there will never be enough words to make it okay. We remember him as a teacher, a brother, a friend, and a love that was always giving, even at the end. He loved spell crafting, animal rescuing, and spending time with those he held dear.
We will never truly know his struggle, but we will live every day for him and make sure to raise awareness about mental illness. It's silent and strikes quickly, but it's so important. When we light our candles next time, we say his name and remember that he was The Dragon until his wings were too broken to fly.
With all our hearts and boundless love
