I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Washington.

AGC of Washington represents the builders, contractors, and construction professionals who help keep our economy moving, create jobs, and build the infrastructure our communities rely on every day.

As a state representative, I have worked to support policies that strengthen our workforce, invest in transportation and infrastructure, reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens, and promote economic growth throughout Washington State. Strong communities depend on strong infrastructure, and strong infrastructure depends on a skilled workforce and a healthy construction industry.

Construction employers and workers face increasing costs, workforce shortages, permitting delays, and regulatory challenges. We need practical solutions that help build roads, bridges, schools, housing, water systems, and public facilities while keeping projects affordable for taxpayers.

June is PTSD Awareness Month, a time to recognize the impact of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), support those affected, and encourage access to treatment and recovery.

As an attorney with Althauser Rayan Abbarno, LLP and a State Representative serving Southwest Washington, I have seen firsthand how traumatic experiences can change lives.

While many people associate PTSD with military service, PTSD can affect anyone who experiences or witnesses a traumatic event. This includes victims of serious motor vehicle collisions, workplace injuries, domestic violence, sexual assault, violent crime, child abuse, natural disasters, and other traumatic incidents.

PTSD is a real and often misunderstood medical condition. Symptoms may include anxiety, depression, nightmares, flashbacks, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, emotional withdrawal, and heightened reactions to stress. These invisible injuries can affect relationships, careers, physical health, and overall quality of life.

Washington state has had to Top-3 most expensive fuel costs in the nation since 2023!

And, Gov. Ferguson and Democrats in Olympia passed an automatic annual gas tax inflator that will continue to increase costs without a vote of the Legislature or the People.

Doesn’t the CCA and gas taxes help improve roads and bridge? NO! According to the 2026 Annual Highway Report by the Reason Foundation, Washington ranked:

👎 48th overall among the 50 states for highway cost-effectiveness and condition.
👎 43rd for rural interstate pavement condition.
44th for urban arterial pavement condition.

Washington Democrats continue to blame the other Washington for their taxes and their mismanagement.

It was an honor joining the Thurston Economic Development Council, Thurston County Commissioner Wayne Fournier, local small business leaders, nonprofit organizations, and federal and state partners to discuss the exciting progress at the Tenino Agriculture Park.

I have been proud to support and secure funding for this project through the State Capital Budget because it represents the kind of practical, community-focused solutions we need more of in Washington. The Tenino Agriculture Innovation Park strengthens food security, creates economic opportunities, supports local jobs, and helps open new markets for small agricultural producers.

By investing in infrastructure and partnerships like these, we can support family farms, strengthen our local economy, and build a more resilient future for our communities.

It also gave me the opportunity to pick up some amazing food and snacks from Colvin Ranch Provisions.
