NEW NOTICE FROM IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENR

1. immigration officers will allow to issue TRC when expats have a work permit/ Or TRC invester when the company have the real capital contribution papers, eligible cases as prescribed by Law
2. Tourists visa (Type: DL) only issue an exit with plane ticket for leave VN, issued 15 days to exit only. Can not stay in VN, can not convert to business visa.
3. Business visa (type: DN): Can extend DN visa with the right company which guarantee entry to VN but experts stayed in VN less than 1 year, immigration will still issue 3 months extension.
4. Different company or the right company, but they entered Vietnam for more than 1 year, those who will be issued a 15-day visa to exit
5. For expats who hold Visa exemption 5 years - officers will extend 3 months only even you have Na5 form form local police.
- All passports was submitted, immigration will return them or issue 15 days exit visa.

🔴 NOTICE ABOUT TOURIST VISA EXTENSION
I/ For those who entered on March 1st, 2020 and using automatic extension but the real visa is expired.
✅ Need to exit before 15 Jan.
✅ After 15 Jan, if not exit, need to get a letter from embassy to be able to get a normal exit visa without penality.
✅ Otherwise, you would be considered overstayed.
2. Tourists entered before March 1st, 2020
✅ option 1: switch into business visa
✅ Option 2: buy a ticket to have exit visa
✅ Option 3: if your visa is not about to expire, kindly wait for updated situation as policies keep changing.

NOTICE ABOUT “AUTOMATIC STAY EXTENSION”
1. Foreigners who entered Vietnam on visa waivers, e-visas or tourist visas from March 1st, 2020 are entitled to automatic stay extension until April 30st, 2021 and can depart from Vietnam without having apply for stay extension. For those who entered Vietnam before March 1st, 2020, the same automatic stay extension until April 30st, 2021 can be considered, subject to provision of proof that the person was stranded in Vietnam due to Covid-19, accompanied by a diplomatic Note (with Vietnamese translation) from relevant diplomatic missions, or a written document from relevant Vietnamese authorities confirming that the person was required to undergo mandatory quarantine or treatment for Covid-19, or advice of other force majeure. The person is required to present the diplomatic Note or written document on departure from Vietnam.

2. During “automatic stay extension” period, foreigners are required to complete temporary residence and health status declaration.

3. Foreigners who are not subject to Paragraph 1 or violate Vietnamese laws will be treated according to applicable laws of Vietnam.
