🌟 But why the Tanuki? 🌟

In Japanese folklore, the tanuki is a magical trickster—often shown with a banknote it never intends to pay. It represents wit, illusion, and the strange games hidden inside human systems like money, rules, and power.

That makes it the perfect symbol for our work. At my law office, we don’t just handle legal issues—we fight in the gray areas where systems misfire:

⚖️ Criminal Defense – standing up when the State stacks the deck.
📑 Appeals – cutting through the record when errors hide in plain sight.
🌍 Crimmigration – defending noncitizens caught between two unforgiving systems.
💻 Legal Informatics – using data and AI tools to uncover what others miss.

Like the tanuki, we know how to spot the illusions—and then turn them back on those who play the game unfairly.

Denied for a Loan? It Might Be a Legal Error. Send us a message, and we'll discuss how to get after it!

Creditors and credit bureaus make mistakes every day—and those mistakes cost you.
As an Ohio attorney, I provide legal credit report reviews to find errors that hurt your score and your future.

Unlike “credit repair companies,” I don’t make empty promises.
I analyze your reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, draft legal disputes, and—when absolutely necessary—take the bureaus to court.

✅ Flat-fee legal review
✅ Attorney-prepared disputes
✅ No endless monthly fees

You don’t need a “repair service.” You need someone who enforces your rights.

In the intricate and often labyrinthine world of criminal law, expungements emerge as a kind of legal deus ex machina, a potential pathway for those weighed down by the gravity of past missteps. The term itself might seem enigmatic, even Kafkaesque, but at its core, expungement is a process that offers the possibility of redemption—a chance to metaphorically unwrite certain chapters of one's life story, thereby granting them the opportunity to traverse future terrains unencumbered by the specter of their prior transgressions.

Now, let us not be lulled into the illusion that expungements are mere panaceas, for they are not, nor are they universally attainable. Rather, they exist as a tightly woven tapestry of regulations and stipulations that vary from one jurisdiction to another, a veritable smorgasbord of legal minutiae. Despite this complexity, the essence of expungement remains one of hope—a hope that, like the mythological phoenix, a person may rise from the ashes of their past mistakes and soar towards new horizons, their world no longer consigned to the trash heap of history.

GOOD IDEA! "The Arizona Supreme Court’s Board of Nonlawyer Legal Service Providers licensed these first 10 legal paraprofessionals in late November. They’ll soon be affiliate members of the State Bar of Arizona, and then they can start offering these limited services without the supervision of an attorney. The limited areas of practice include family law, limited jurisdiction civil, limited jurisdiction criminal and administrative law. Before applying for a license, individuals must pass a core exam and an exam for their specific practice area."

PHOENIX (AP) — Ten nonlawyer legal paraprofessionals will soon begin work in Arizona, offering legal services in limited practice areas previously restricted to licensed attorneys.

You can say the same thing in more than one way. If you come off as too aggressive (i.e. "there's no way I'm giving you this") the other side may stay entrenched in their positions. Try, instead, making the same point in another tone (i.e. "I'm happy to offer this or that"). Watch how it changes your ability to negotiate yourself into a better situation.

Aside from getting your finances in order, you may want to leave your loved ones with an ethical will or letter of final wishes, as a way to advise them on what to do and what they should know when you're gone. If you are a believing person, you can go to your clergy or spiritual guide to help you with the drafting, but it's a good idea to also run it by your lawyer to make sure that it is drafted in harmony with your legal will.

If a loved one has been denied medical care or given bad treatment while in prison, they may be eligible for relief. Time spent behind bars is difficult enough - it shouldn't be cause for long-term health issues as well.
