Ah, the beginning of a brand new week, and I continue to work on finalizing sets of minutes for my wonderful clients. Had a few bumps in the road health wise recently but all is well at this point. So happy my strength has returned. Here we go into a new gift of days to complete my projects.

I know it has been a while since I sent out a post. Winter is nearly over, and it was so good to see the SUN today. I'm ready to get out and walk the neighborhood. Thinking rather pensively these days about the state of our world. It's a far cry from my youth when respect was given whether or not it was deserved.

This week my nose was to the grindstone, or keyboard actually. As I transcribed a seminar and kept up with the speaker, I wondered how many words a minute I was transcribing. Looking at statistics it looked like between 100 to 125 wpm. Thanking the Lord for God-given skills.

Years ago, 1958, I went to Katharine Gibbs School, known as a "boot camp" for secretaries. I lived at the Barbizon Hotel for Women in the middle of Manhattan. Great memories with my buddies there. Another friend sent me a book recently, "The Dollhouse" by Fiona Davis - all about a girl attending Katie Gibbs and living at the Barbizon. What a trip back memory lane. Any Gibbs grads out there who want to read it, message me.

Happy New Year everyone! My motto for 2019 includes the word "ethics". In this world of chaos and immorality, let us all endeavor to govern our lives and our businesses ethically. That means to have principals and standards and to act fairly, with compassion and integrity, honor and responsibility. Who knows? From that, new business will come. Are you up for the challenge?

Having been buried in the process of creating meeting minutes lately, I am continually amazed at the thought and planning of those in authority during budget seasons. Decisions affect all of us when tax time comes, and there is a tremendous responsibility to do what's right. I love my clients.
