One last change on the phone number. It is 509-930-1532.
Take care.

Well, it finally happened. My health has deteriorated enough that I can no longer keep my office open. As of today, it is closed.

We have been and will continue to work with clients to get their files and trust funds back to them. If you think we have either of these for you, please give us a call.

I have a new phone number: 509-945-4016. I also have a new address: PO Box 8120, Yakima, 9898.

It has been a pleasure working with you.

We have had a lot going on and changes are coming up. Seems like it is time for an update.

First of all, the office is still open. Martina has left, but I am going to keep the practice going. I have to change how I operate things a bit, though.

I am going to be working from home for the most part. With the changes we have seen in technology, it is easy to do so while still providing the same level of service we have for years. This means that I will be in the office sporadically, although we can always set up an appointment to have someone there for you.

I will be available by phone from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on holidays. If I don’t answer, leave me a message and I will get back to you. If you need to talk to me outside of normal hours or we need to meet in person, let me know and we will get something set up.

I can set up Zoom meetings if you would like to meet face to face. We can also video chat through Messenger or FaceTime.

I look forward to continuing to work with you and continuing to provide the community with service.

For those of you who have not called the office for awhile, I have a new paralegal, Tasha Pleasant. She brings a lot of experience to the office. I know you will like working with her.

We are still under COVID protocols. I am trying to meet with everyone by phone or Zoom. If you need to stop by the office, make sure to wear a mask. Likewise, the court is still conducting hearings by Zoom. You can easily attend from home. Just make sure to get the meeting password from us.

All in all, things are going well. I look forward to continuing to work with you.

Effective April 27, 2020, Yakima Superior Court will again be conducting hearings in Family Law cases by telephone. The court asks that for now only urgent matters be set for hearing. Hearing time is again available, though.

If you have been waiting to take action on your case, or to start a new case, until the court is available to have hearings, now is the time to act.

As always, we are here to help you with any family law matter.

There is some misinformation circulating that the courts are completely closed down. This is only partially true.

If you need a domestic violence order of protection or if you have an emergency involving children or property, we can still get into court to address your problem. If you are facing an emergency, do not wait to take care of it. Call us. We are still here to help you.

Our office procedures have changed a little. We are asking everyone to contact us by phone rather than just dropping by the office. If there is something we need to work on that requires a face-to-face meeting, we will need to schedule time for it. These new procedures are not something we want to be implementing. But, with the guidelines we are working under, we need to do so.

If you have questions about what is going on with your case, if there are developments you need us to help you with, call us. Even if we cannot get your case into court, there are often things we can do to address the situation.

We will get through this. We are all in it together.

Things have changed a lot in the last few days. As of this evening, that includes Yakima County Superior Court.

The court has suspended all Family Law matters until April 24, 2020, except for emergencies. This is going to slow things down for us.

But, we will remain open so long as we are not told to close. We will still accept new clients. We will be working on your cases to have them ready to go as soon as the court opens. If your case is an emergency, we will get it into court as fast as we can.

We will be interacting with you by phone as much as possible. We ask that if you do not feel well or have a fever or cough that you not come into the office. We also ask that you do not bring your children to the office. I truly do not like having to limit face-to-face contact with you, but these are the Guidelines we have to operate under.

I know these are challenging times. I also know that we will get through them if we meet them together.

If you have any questions or concerns on any of this, give us a call. We will be there for you.

Given that it has been over a year since I last posted on the page, it seems like it is time for something of an update.
The cancer treatment is going well. They are having no success finding cancer anywhere, but some of my numbers are up so they are keeping me on chemo. I am finding it easier to get into the office on the week I have chemo, so I am working more hours and we are getting more done. I am very much open for business!

All in all, things are going well. Thanks for all of your prayers and support through this. I don’t think I would be making it without you.

This one may end up on the wall at the office.

With the extra time I have at home, I am spending more time on photography and computer imaging. As I have little else to post here at present, I will drop an occasional image or two onto the page. I hope you enjoy them.
